Christopher Monsanto

I am a PhD student at Princeton University. I can be reached at chris@monsan.to.

My research interests are broadly in programming languages and distributed computing. Currently, I am investigating functional reactive programming, software extensibility, and new paradigms for web development.

Previously, I worked on Escalator, a development environment for teaching functional programming using interactive multimedia, and BUD, a buffering architecture for conserving energy in parallel disk systems.

In 2004, I created Smogon.com. It has since grown to be one of the largest gaming websites in the world.
